How does the ordering process for an interpretation work?

First of all, send me an enquiry. I will then provide you with an individual cost estimate for this enquiry. If you agree to this, you accept it. I will then work for you at the desired location on the desired date. The modalities and terms of payment are regulated in the cost estimate.

I need the following information for the cost estimate:

  • LANGUAGES?

  • WHEN? (date)

  • HOW LONG? (hours/day(s) etc.)

  • WHERE? (Place, presence/remote)

  • WHAT? (Meeting, conference, negotiation, workshop, etc.)

  • HOW? (simultaneous/consecutive/whispered/conversational)

  • WITH WHAT? (Interpreting technology, familiarity with interpreting technology)

  • WHO? Who is the interpretation for? (Participants/speakers etc.?)

  • HOW MANY people need the interpretation?

  • Will the event and/or interpretation be recorded?

Each request is individual, therefore there are no standard prices for interpreting. Depending on the request, an individual cost estimate is prepared, which takes all circumstances into account and, on this basis, weighs up the amount of work required (preparation, travel to and from the event, interpretation, possible material costs, possible travel costs, etc.) and calculates the costs for this. The items are listed in the cost estimate.

The interpreting mode depends on the event. Is it more interactive (e.g. workshop) or more frontal (e.g. conference/meeting with lectures). If you are unsure about the interpreting mode, I will be happy to advise you and together we will find the right solution.

There are interpreting booths, personal guidance systems/whispering cases, remote interpreting technology (RSI, Remote) and much more. Interpreting technology, including advice and support, can be rented or booked from various technology companies.

Do you still have questions? Then feel free to get in touch or book a non-binding appointment directly in my calendar.
